Course Description:

This course will give you the foundational principles of aseptic processing and the knowledge needed to understand and apply GMP requirements in sterile manufacturing environments.

Aseptic Processing in the Pharmaceutical Industry is a comprehensive, step-by-step guide covering the essential elements required to assure sterility, including:

  • The fundamentals of cleanroom design, layout, and environmental controls.
  • The personnel, materials, and equipment flow management to meet the criteria of product quality, safety and efficacy.
  • The key principles of gowning, hygiene, and contamination control.
  • The role and operation of critical utilities such as clean steam, WFI, and HVAC systems.
  • The behaviours, interventions, and processes flow within Grade A/B areas.
  • The importance of environmental monitoring and how to interpret results.
  • The understanding of sterilisation methods, integrity testing, and equipment used in aseptic processes.
  • The identification and recognition of risks, deviations, and sources of contamination—and ways to mitigate them.

The course is broken down into clear modules, enabling learning into structured, bite-sized sections. At the end of each module, the requirement will be the completion of a quiz to ensure the understanding of the key concepts presented.

The final assessment at the end of the course will assess the overall understanding. An assignment will be required for the Learner to complete and submit. This will be assessed by our qualified, certified Assessor, who may provide some mentorship to ensure the course has added value to the Learner. Once completed and assessed as competent, you will receive your Certificate of Competency.
